Support 42 UAW Union Members Locked-out by Corporate Monster Honeywell since May 9, 2016

If there ever was a time when we should be supporting our union brothers and sisters, that time is NOW.  We will be at the picket line at the Main Gate, 50 Cohoes Avenue (Cohoes Blvd. Exit on 787 N) tomorrow night between 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Join us and know that you are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with courageous working class comrades in this crucial struggle which is our struggle as well.  All time spent on 24/7 picket line welcome.

Protect Injured Workers

Will you fight for injured workers? If not for luck or circumstance, you could be an injured worker. If that was the case wouldn’t you want someone to fight for you?Taking action is important because, all too often, working people do not have a voice in discussions about changes to the very programs workers depend on. Legislators need to know that working people stand ready to include ideas about how to make the system work better and more efficiently, but workers must come first. Getting injured workers prompt access to the care and wage replacement they need is the priority.

Hopefully you never have to use it, but if you did, wouldn’t you want workers’ compensation to work? This harmful proposal will cut benefits and make the process much more difficult. It will put injured workers second to reform gimmicks.

Protect injured workers by telling your legislators to OPPOSE harmful cuts to workers’ compensation in the NYS executive budget.

As sisters and brothers in the Labor Movement we share some core values. Values like “an injury to one is an injury to all.” We must rise to protect those who are most vulnerable - such as injured workers.

If you make your voice heard we can defeat this proposal. But this won’t happen without your help!

Update: NYSNA RNs at Nathan Littauer
Despite ongoing attempts by NYSNA to bargain in good faith with leadership at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing home, CEO Larry Kelly has been unwilling to join RNs at the bargaining table to settle a contract that works for everybody. No date has been set for contract negotiations in 2016, and Nathan Littauer Hospital has been unresponsive to communication attempts made by NYSNA RNs on the matter. Even if you called during the nurses' lockout earlier this year, please take a moment to call CEO Larry Kelly and tell him that it's time to set a date and join our NYSNA RNs at the bargaining table to settle a fair contract! For more information or to report the results of your phone call, please contact Janice at Janice.Treanor@nysna.orgLarry Kelly: 518-773-5500
